Hi all Panther builders

I managed to post some photos to my gallery. My Ausf G is based on a Panzer Befehlswagen Regiment 22 Heeres Gruppe "Weischel" in Feb 45.

I tried to give my model a "used" and battle-scarred look.

I still have to add the german crosses and regimental numbers. I would also like to add opening lids on the bins at a later stage (as wells as a few other details)

Outstanding! Your panther looks real nice. Great photos. I really like your detailing on the loaders hatch interior and rear hull. Also, I really like the evidence of an enemy round taken through the side skirt.

Did you have some photos of the particular panther from the 22nd regiment to reference? Looks great.

Excellent job on your Panther. Your paint and weathering are first rate and very authentic looking. Thats one mean looking cat! Super job.

Thanks for the kind words.

Tim, I used a book called "Panther variants in color" as reference for the camo pattern. This shows an additional snow whitewash that I decided to exclude for now.

The "shot" was done with a 38 Special with the plate propped against a tree!

That is one stunning Panther you have Gerrit.
Very well done!
That weathering is first class.

See in the third photo ("Front") that you have the tracks up side down to get the in the kit error reversed chevrons getting correct.
Thinking of doing that myself, and after the chevrons is whore out change the tracks back to normal.

Great job Gerrit . Boy I must be a slow builder . Some of you guys have only had your kits for months now , and you have them finnished !!! and to a high stannard. Maybe I need to stop working six days a week and do more modelling. Gerrit are you the only armortek owner in South Africa ??? Dale.

I think i'm one of two Panther owners in South Africa. I havent been able to contact the other guy yet and havent seen any activity on the forum from him.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to build six days a week for a month at a time when I'm home, which is once every three months.
Must say it was a very enjoyable experience, as it was my first model. I plan to go a bit slower on my late Tiger - even if only to prolong the pleasure!

That sounds like a good idea Gerrit , to take longer on your Tiger ,other wise you will be building three kits a year plus go broke. Now that you have the Panther under your belt . You can make more modifation on your tiger and maybe take a year to build it. Dale
