DETAILING (lettering, numbering) PARTS

Hello!

I would like to perform details on some parts of my StuG III.

I search pictures/photos of lettering/numbering/markings of the Panzer III or StuG III (suspension parts, drivesprockets, idlers, hooks etc).

I also want to detail equipment, like hooks (c-/s-hooks), jacks etc. .

Maybe someone has pictures of vehicles and equipment displayed in museums. Unfortunately, I do not have a suitable museum near me. I would also like to receive recommendations on websites and corresponding literature.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards

Michael

Google is your friend. I've also put a lot of Pz III references and detailed photos onto my Pz III thread here:

http://www.armortek.co.uk/Forum3b/viewt ... c3619923d7

The Panzer Tracts series has monographs on the Pz III Ausfuhrungen and the Stug III here:

https://www.panzertracts.com

They are really the definitive source for detailing a Stug.

You might also try the Trojca series. The Pz III edition had lots of original manufacturing drawings, which I used but I don't know if the Stug III edition has the same:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stug-III-IV-At ... a+stug+III

All of the books above are out of print and you'll have to search to find them and try to find copies at a reasonable price. The Trojca Pz III book is now selling for a ridiculous £160.

Good luck.

Stephen

Depending on what part of Germany you are in Panzer museum Munster has both PzIII and StugIII which you have full access to except for climbing on, there are a few other German museums with Stug, knowing you location will help provide you with museums

Hello Stephen!

Thank you for your recommendations.

I have some books about PZ III und StuG, but there
are pictures and photos with readable lettering or numbering.
I spend a lot of time with Google too.

I think the most helpful would be pictures of museum or collector vehicles.

Your build thread is very helpful too.

Greetings from Germany

Michael
