Re: Puma
I'd actually prefer the Sd.Kfz 232 - would look good in Afrika Korps colours alongside a Tiger 131.

Re: Puma
A great chioce, but a complicated model to manufacture, 8 wheel steer and drive! Lots of components, possible, crowd fund for development perhaps for viability and sales, regards simon.

Re: Puma
That would be an interesting kit. I've spent my money for now on the Tiger 131. Need to buy stuff for it.
Good Luck

Re: Puma
Hello,
Do you know about the Puma of "Xion" they did it in scale 1:16. On youtoube you can find some videos of the Puma where you can see him running. It is absolutely amazing how it works and I saw him running in natural on a rc-meeting. Now the 1:16 Puma is also available by "Torro". You can download the assemblyinstruction there to see how the components are working together.
To bring the Puma in 1:6 is possible.

Re: Puma
Hello.
Mark-1 tanks proposed a puma some years ago, but stopped the production because they do not receive enough orders to keep it in prod.
Xion / torro Puma is nice but they have had many issues with transmission to the wheels.they change twice the transmission shafts after 1st release and even now, you need to adapt some parts to avoid blocking points while turning (i have an intermediate version, upgraded to latest shafts)
it would aslo be quite tricky from the steering point of view, as you will need different steering angles between font/rear and "middle" wheels (Xion/ torro have same steering angles leading to some "slipping" on all of them)
it is not an issue on a lightweight 1:16 but on a 1:6 model you have to do it the right way.
not to speak of the transmission: need of 4 differential housings + links between them, and "main" transmission
Quite a "big" model for a wheeled one, nearly 6m in length for 2.4m wide and same for heigth
But... i confirm it would be a nice model !

Re: Puma
Hello, I have the puma in 1/6 from attila. The problem I had was that the leaf springs give way over time and the vehicle sings off. Although he made a very light body. I do not know if the spring steel is too bad. I have the body now so from the height that fits. who wants to have photos of it or is interested can send me a pn
Regards
