Question for Amortek-Casting # 1 & 2 for new Tiger track

Hi Mark and Gill,

I have assembled the new tracks with ease as compared to old, and just slot the connecting pins while the tracks are in their respective plastic packs.

I was admiring the new castings, then I noticed the imprints of the number "1" and "2" for each respective tracks. I try not to come across as discerning but I was just wondering out of curiousity if there is any implications to the build or are they mere batch numbers?

Hi David

The numbers refer to the pockets in the tool that makes these castings. In order to get the best economical use in the pressure die casting machine, the mold tool has two cavities. So each each time the machine is used, two castings are produced. The cavities are numbered either 1 and 2, or in some cases A and B. They are theoretically identical.
