I suppose I better start my Famo thread, and if you were wondering just how big this kit is, here are the chassis rails.(Im 5'8") Thankyou Armortek.
I'm not starting the build until the Bergepanther is finished, I'm just going to load photos of the brute, I think it's important to finger all the parts to become familiar with the thing, I shall also stack the rubber parts on a flat surface to allow them to relax ready for fitting.
It's like being 12 years old again and as poor.

A slightly better photo!
Nice hat
The size of the thing is impressive , that's a 25 pounder tyre for comparison

You guy's are going to love this brute, just filling the cargo area with kit and stores, or a Kubel wagen is going to be a big job. How am I going to resist not putting just a few bits together before the Berge is finished?

Phil,
Those are massive tires. They must weigh 2-3 lbs apiece being solid. Looking forward to seeing your build on this one. Looks like you have enough Armortek projects to keep you busy for the next 20 years.
I'd like a hat too! Got a mug, and pens but no hat!
I saw the FAMO running in Hausen. Its really well build, with much good details.
The movment is also awesome and powerfull.
I'm verry pleased to have one. It comes this weekend...
When my Famo is ready, maybe in the new year, I need to reproduce this for a customer, if anyone living in the south west with a Famo (or anywhere else for that matter) would like an outing please get in touch, it would mean a few hours of video work and Ill pay for lunch in our wonderful village pub. I can provide accommodation for a couple or two good friends as well.
I have a battered old Panther which needs a little work, like suspension and swing arms etc to use as the towed vehicle ( if anyone has an old set of the block type suspension from a Tiger or similar or any Panther spares I would be very interested, I have been collecting small amounts of spare panther tracks for sometime and have enough for one side ) regards Phil.

I have a full set of crappy plastic track to reproduce this but they just won't drag right as they weigh so little

I'm actually quite happy that you have opted for one of the first batch, I'm waiting for a few tips before I attempt it !!, also I have talked to you on the phone a few times and this is the first time that you have shown face, apart from the accent you seem like a normal nice guy !!!!
I was thinking the same Bryan, not reference your accent but letting someone else make a start! I can give you one tip, it's best to build the motors in as you go. I have around two weeks left on the Bergepanther and then off we go. I'm not sure revealing my ugly face was a good idea but it's done now!
I still don't have any room for that lovely model of yours but give me time lol.
Kind regards Phil
