Panzer 3 - My First Armortek Tank

Hi,
Just wanted to say howdy and anounce I just bought my first Armortek tank - a P3 - I am pretty excited about it. I have wanted to have one for years....
The P3 was a great opportunity for me to "jump on board" so-to-speak; and, I want to thank Gill and all the folks at Armortek for the chance.

I look forward to it. As prerequisite to this anticipated build, I have despenced with most of my 1/16th collection and I am now looking at refitting my 1/6th Stuart - She is in bad need of it, and I felt she and the P3 would make an excellent pair.

Jim,
I am interested to see you are considering re-building you Stuart. I had one before I bought the Armortek Tiger. I heavily modified it with proportional radio, increaded speed gearboxes, detailing and linked the original sound board to the new radio. I ran ok and had the advantage of being light enough to carry easily. The down side was that it wasn't a patch on the sophistication of the metal tanks.
I too am thinking of dispensing with the 1/15th & 1/16th stuff, all of mine are pre sound Tamiya and the Bandai set but I'm not sure how prices go now that the cheap WSN 1/16th stuff is generally available.

I kept my Stu mostly stock - I did the gearbox and wiring corrections. The truth is I used it more to chase the dog than anything else. But, I have sort of grown out of the 1/16th stuff - its sort of become more of a chore, given some of the organizations and associations I was involved with - I just decide to take a BIG step back. I know a few folks that are into 1/6th and it just seemed like they were having a lot more fun than I....so..... That's really all there was to it.
As for selling my 1/16th stuff - Yes, I took a BIG hit, partly due to them being built and used and also because the market for them is slowing down here in the US due to economic times (you know).

PS - anybody know of anyone making a M5 Stuart Turret conversion now that Werkstatt is out of business? (I know, not really relate to our P3s - But I want mine to have a buddy - GRIN!)

I also have bought my 1st real rc tank in the armotek panzer 111 .Im sure we got many happy hours building and showing off our models . i cant wait to get started . welcome mate . cheers stu

ha ha im having trouble sleeping jim . but some good news i popped up to see gill and mark couple weekends ago and production is coming on leaps and bounds .

i'm the same every time i log on i hope to see an update for it
on a differant note i thought i read a while back that another new kit was on the cards to be announced after the last military show anyone any info
