New King Tiger , Tiger I and T34 components.

Hello everyone, It's been awhile since I posted on this forum, however that doesn't mean I have been neglecting any builds or tooling up new parts... quite the contrary. Since I wrapped the Sherman Firefly and a vintage early armortek tiger 1, I have been focusing my time on 3 armortek builds. A King tiger, a T34, and another early tiger I 131. While working on these three I have spent the last several months tooling up new parts in cast metal and 3D print.

Starting with Tiger I, I tooled up a new set of main fuel tank covers / air intake ducts. These are 3D printed and have replaced the sheet metal ones that have been on the ECA Catalog for a number of years, and the metal ones are now OOP. These new parts are found on the following link, http://eastcoastarmory.com/tiger.htm

Image

Image

These units are comprised of a single print and no construction needs to be done to them, they are ready to go out of the box. They are also right and Left hand specific like the real units and my older pattern metal ones.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Once painted they give the frill area a nice pop

Image

Image

As for the King tiger The First new detail I have is a replacement for an older set that I've produced for several years in resin. The detail is of the Hub Cap fastener / retention plates. The older sets molds are now worn out and rather then make new molds I went ahead and replaced them with these new sets in 3D print. http://eastcoastarmory.com/kingtiger.htm

Image

Image

Image

The sets contain several units for not just to complete one tank, but also spares to replace any if one were to get loose / fall off

Image

As for New parts I tooled up the bump stops. These are comprised of Cast metal, Cast resin, and also rubber.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

As for the T34, the new parts are found on the new T34 parts catalog page, http://eastcoastarmory.com/t34.htm

Starting with the model's bump stops, these are Cast metal components that use real rubber for the bump stop.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

The next newly tooled up metal detail set is the T34 swing arm aligner rail set.

Image

Image

The T34 family track pin aligner set was another cast metal component I developed,

Image

Image

Some other Parts I developed for the T34 are in the 3d Print media, Starting with first Front Idler hub cap replacement set,

Image

Image

Image

Image

I also designed replacement hubs for the main road wheels... Just like with most vehicles there are several examples of hubs that were created / used. I was able to make these three variants,

T34 road wheels hub set style 1,
Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

T34 road wheels hub set style 2,
Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

T34 road wheels hub set style 3,
Image

Image

Image

Image

I've also designed a drive sprocket detail face upgrade for the Armortek T34 Sprocket. This set gives the stock sprocket a Late type pattern compared to the early pattern which is present on the stock armortek kit and would not be a very common sight on the T34/85. Currently I'm wrapping up this conversion on the example I'm working on, however the sets are posted on the site. If you notice these are printed in a black material... due to the location of these parts they will get more wear and tear compared to the hubs. Because of this the black material is better for when the paint scratches / chips revealing the base material, which black looks better then white.

Image

Image

Image

Image

I got lots of more stuff in development now for all three vehicles and as they progress more new sets will be released... more to come.

While working on some builds I've developed more detail upgrade parts. More are in development now, and will be posted once ready.

New Tiger I parts, all parts are found here http://eastcoastarmory.com/tiger.htm

Tiger I rear storage bin. This unit is fully detailed and is functional. This includes both the lids and the latches

3D printed early Tiger I engine hatch air intake set,

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

3D printed Tiger I engine hinge access plate detail set.

Image

Image

3D printed Tiger I engine hatch locks set. There are a few options available as these locks changed during the tiger's production run. Some sets are designed for the initial / early variant that had the snorkel feature. Other sets are for the mid / late pattern tigers. Other options include sets that are for tanks with interior details while others are exterior detailing only. This way you are not purchasing parts that you don't need

Image

3D printed Armortek Tiger I pistol port cone fastener set.

Image

Image

3D printed Tiger I Lower Hull fuel tanks set. This set also has two options, One is just the face detailing only and has an open back section. The other is a complete set where the rear sections are included. Both sets include the strap detailing and the fuel line connector valves.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

For the M3 Lee,

3D printed M3 Lee rear tail lights set. These are printed hollow to allow the addition of a LED or a bulb. The face detailing is printed in a translucent HD material for crisp detailing and to allow the light to go through. http://eastcoastarmory.com/m3_lee.htm

Image

Image

The sets have both the standard red tail light, and the blackout right hand pattern

Image

Image

Like I mentioned above I got more new sets in development. Some are new items, others are replacements for older legacy items, as for what they are... all I can say is stay tuned!

After a few months of gathering research materials, I'm now able to announce the newest full ECA kit... WWII German fuel drum trailer

Image

Kit is designed to be used with the Dragon metal german fuel cans, and / or the cast resin drum copies on aliexpress.

Image

Image

Just like with my jeep trailer kits, this model is designed to have the most amount of detail present; however have the least amount of parts that need to be fitted. So far the count of parts are about 7 (wheels / tires not included)

Image

The kit is fully 3D printed, with the same materials that are used on the parts above and the only parts that are cast are the tires, which are made from rubber as what was seen on the line of jeep trailers / jeep tires sets. the rims are a separate printing and are printed in white nylon

Image

Image

Image

I have a set in print now and once in hand I'll be able to get one finished up and hitched up to my tiger

Update, A pre production fuel trailer arrived last month and was built / fitted to a tiger (although this may or may not be 100% accurate for this vehicle). The test unit assembled quickly but I saw some areas for improvement with the production models.

Image

Image

Image

I made these tweaks and the production sample came in the other day. The set is now available on the ECA catalog,
http://eastcoastarmory.com/soft_skin.htm

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

I have also completed the CAD work for the dual drum trailer aswell and this too will be added to the catalog shortly.

Image

Image

Other new parts to mention are the german AFV clamps. These retired the old resin set that was offered in the past. These units are fully functional once assembled

Image

Image

Also for the King Tiger / Jagdtiger owners I'm in the process of finishing up the complete fan / radiator interior cluster. More will be posted about this set once I have more details / features completed, but these will be released soon, a quick sneak peak however is in order,

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

I'm also working on other new KT parts now and will be posting more information as that build carries on, more to come!

Since the last post I have been taking advantage of the down time to work on more detail parts. Many of these new parts are retiring older cast resin parts that have been on the catalog for a number of years.

Starting with the King tiger, I have tooled up two new sets. these can be found on the King Tiger catalog page, http://eastcoastarmory.com/kingtiger.htm

3D printed King Tiger bow hatch interior detail set. This set supplies you with the interior detailing for the bow hatches. The locking system is designed to be functional, and I'm planning on using rubber for the head rest. Currently I have a set in print now and once in hand I will be able to see how well it goes together or if any tweaks need to be made,

Image

Image

Image

Image

3D Printed Henschel King Tiger rear hatch torsion bar guards set, these are available in 2 options. One with weld detailing built in, the other weld less so the builder can sculpt their own weld line detailing

Image

Image

Image

I have also been spending some time on the Tiger I. These parts are found here, http://eastcoastarmory.com/tiger.htm

3D Printed initial tiger I rear mudguard frame set, these are also available in welded or non welded format

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

functional 3D Printed Tiger I rear hatch retaining hooks set

Image

Image

3D Printed Tiger I engine hatch retracting legs set. This set is available in two material options... standard and HD. Both materials are fully functional

Image

Image

Image

3D printed Tiger I bow MG cover cap / tarpaulin mounts set. These sets here are also available with welded an non welded options, but also come in either HD or standard material

Image

Image

Image

Currently I have a set of the KT cooling system en route from the printer. Once in hand I should have some pics of the unit. Also I have another new item / option for that set with is a option for the working restrictive air flow ducts. these are also in print now and once in hand I will have some pics of the completed unit. For now though here is a sneak peek!

Image

Image

Image

More to come!

The other day the KT fan housing / radiator cluster prints came in. All the printed parts can be seen in the images below

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

The parts assembled pretty quickly, I do see one or two small tweaks that need to be made to the cad files but other than that the sets were a breeze to put together.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

So far the sets look to fit into their locations in the hull without any issues

Image

Image

Image

Image

After the parts were dry fitted the sets were painted / weathered

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

All they need now are their ductwork, and once fitted they can be mounted into the tank!

That depends on what you order. Most EU / foreign orders ship for $15.00 - $30.00 USD. The larger heavier items are shipped from $50.00 - $100.00. Also generally when there is a shipping difference I refund that amount or use it for catalog credit. If you are curious on the shipping rate for a certain item send me a PM or an email and I can give a more specific amount
