Another great day out with Independent Armour. Denny and Holger were there on the Saturday and I joined on the Sunday.
A huge event with cars, traction engines, military vehicles, stationary engines, craft and bric-a-brac stalls, food and drink, spread over four fields.
Here are a few photos of the proceedings, courtesy of Holger.
Denny replacing a broken track link on one of his Tiger 1 models.
Nearly done...
Me jury rigging a tow line to recover my T-34 after the LiFePO4 battery quit on me at the far end of the running area.
This is only the second time I have the battery management system intervene to protect the battery since I started using this pack.
I was running the tank on and off from 8AM till 4PM, so pretty good going for a grassy terrain.
King TIger to the rescue
Thank goodness for the high-efficiency gearboxes, which allow for a tank to be easily dragged like this.
Adrian.
