Pz4 Bruckenleger

One of many projects running concurrently.
Disclaimer: There is limited info on this vehicle with many obscure photos and 1 not so historically correct Trumpet brand 1/35 model to go off. So due to that and my limited skills, I have been slowly constructing the Bruckenleger with the following results and progress. The Armortek Pz is metal with all bridge parts currently 3d printer prototypes to eventually (no time commitment) be redone in metal. Any verification of correct or incorrect part modeling greatly appreciated. The order of photos unfortunately may not represent the construction time line. As Monty Python used to say, and now for something completely different.

Some modifications have been made since these photos were taken in January this year. As I progress I will add more and also a video with it moving. The large main parts have been printed. Now it's time for the fiddly bits. Cheers.

Hello Ray,

a very nice construction, I'm curious to see the laying process.

Ray,
Excellent and very ambitious project! The printed parts are a good idea to prove out the mechanism and mechanicals.

Here is a video of 1/10 scale version from Germany. Really cool to see how it really works. Its about 23 seconds into the video.
Cheers,
Bob

Didn't know there was a "B" or "C" version! LOL. Thanks for informing me! I like the version you are making - the mechanism looks a bit more robust. Great video - I like the recovery over small stream bed. Very cool.

Ray, thanks for providing us with such interesting stuff. "An up-and-over from Down-Under?" The Pz IV is a great Armortek model but gets little coverage these days. Particularly impressive given your lack of references.

Have you seen these:

It's up there with David Skelton's models and some of the stuff Fabrice Le Roux did. Looking forward to the next instalment.

G'day.

Stephen

G''day Stephen,

I think I've harvested every p4 bridgelayer pic on the internet. Yes very limited info but doing the best with what I've got. Very slow wip.

Cheers
Ray

some more pics from the slowest build ever. nearly 900 rivets to be used along with a few 1/16 drill bits.
