TankFest 2018 - Are you going?

TankFest will soon be upon us.
Attendance: The attendance list will close early next week. I'll upload the current list to the Members only download area later today. Please check that we've got your details accurately recorded. If you'd like to come but haven't yet registered, please let us know before next Monday, 4th June. After that, it will be very difficult to get Armortek tickets.
Insurance and car registration, The Tank Museum require us to provide copies of your £5M Public Liability Insurance cover and your car registration number in advance. I'll add the information I hold to the Attendance list. If your details are shown as missing, please get them to us by Monday or we might not be able to get tickets for you.
Camping There will be provision for camping but we have to register in advance. Please let us know if you're intending to camp on site.
Accomodation Accommodation in the Bovington area is always at a premium over the TankFest period. I've got one room available in a local pub for the Friday and Saturday nights, which I'll cancel unless someone would like it. Please let me know soon.
Site With the new Conservation Centre, space at TankFest is much more restricted than last year. We've been able to negotiate a good space in a very competitive climate. The running area will be 22M x 11M and there will be a 6M x 15M area for parking and the Armortek stands and tents. This will require a bit of organisation, to make sure everyone has a fair opportunity to run and to display their models. We're looking at some enhancements to the running area to provide some interesting challenges.
Thanks.
Stephen on behalf of the Armortek team

Hi Stephen
I would like to make my first visit to tankfest with my Mk.IV tank if possible.
I have tickets for the Friday and Sunday, Saturday was already sold out.
I have a pitch booked at a nearby campsite for my motorhome.
At the moment I don't have separate public liability insurance, will i need to get some?
How do I get a space for a motorhome on site?
never done this before so please forgive stupid questions
Regards
Pete nash

To get the necessary public liability Insurance join either The UK Tank Club or The Southern Armour Group or contact Walker Midgley Insurance Brokers for stand alone insurance. Club membership will work out a little cheaper than insurance on its own. Given your location the UK Tank Club has more events on your side of the Country for you to be able join in with than the more west country bias of the SAG.( There is also the Dorset Tank Club.) I am a member of both so I hope I am not biased in my recommendation! I would wholeheartedly say that joining with others to run your Tank is great, so if Tankfest is your first such event, it is a good place to start, with a good bunch of people to meet.

Firstly, welcome. We're delighted you can join the Armortek community at TankFest. Hope you enjoy it.
I've registered you for all three days as an Armortek customer. You will get a car pass and exhibitor wristband for all three days. This will entitle you to space in the exhibitor car park, which will also be suitable for your motorhome overnight. You could try to cancel your booking for the campsite if you wished to use the exhibitor park. Details will be posted nearer the date.
I will need your vehicle registration number and proof of your Public Liability Insurance for £5M, as soon as possible. As Steve says, contact either the UK Tank Club or Southern Armour Group. Their membership also includes the necessary insurance cover. Contact for UKTC is:

If you enjoy TankFest, you might consider also joining us for the Amiens 100 commemoration in August (see the separate post on that here on the Forum).
Best regards
Stephen

The latest (4th June) attendance list is now available in the Events Download section. Please let me know if you're details aren't shown correctly.
Thanks to everyone who has copied their insurance certificate to us. There are eleven outstanding shown on the list in red. Please get them to us by Wednesday night. The final list goes to the Tank Museum on Thursday. After that, we won't guarantee being able to get you a pass if we haven't been able to supply the Tank Museum with a copy of your insurance.
Please check the list shows if you intend to camp overnight on site.
We'll be publishing more details in due course.
Thanks
Stephen
