Great photos Dave . This is the first time I have had a close up look at the bolts that hold all the hull plates together !!!With the other armortek models we have to fill all the counter sunk bolt holes with filler . I hope that armortek can source scale round head counter sunk slot head bolts from some where . As this is a real feature of the half tracks. Dale

Hi Dale
The machine screws you mention countersunk with a domed head are caled instrument head screws and are available in m3 size.
Hope this helps

The same screws were used on the Sherman to bolt the inner mantlet to the turret and the outer mantlet to the inner mantlet.
I used some of them on my Sherman and I have plenty left for the Half Track!
Found them at
www.marylandmetrics.com - they refer to them there as oval headed slotted screws.

That's good news that these are avaliable . Lets hope that armortek supplies these as part of the kit . Otherwise there will be lots of filling and re drilling . Dale

Correction to my earlier post the outer mantlet is bolted to the gun mount not the inner mantlet.
Sorry!

Dale,
The price is on the page where you found the screws
In this case it is $4 US for 100 so I ordered 100 of each size needed as it is cheaper to do it that way and it gives you plenty of extras in case.

Don't forget the nuts! The closest you will find to the originals are lock nuts. Give them a coat of paint and they will look A-OK.

M3 nylock nuts are correct size and the closest match to the real nuts.

Adrian,
Not to worry, if they are M2 bolts there are M2 nylock nuts available for them.
