A small group of us (Mark Weddell, Steve Stuart, the irrepressible Denny Patterson and myself) have just enjoyed a good weekend at the above show. It's only a small one, but it's one of the highlights of the Military Vehicle Trust's calendar. Loads of interesting vehicles (highlights were a 25pdr and lots of Dodge 6x6 trucks), friendly exhibitors, and lots of spectators as it's free entry.

Between us we had 9 tanks out - 2 Tiger 1's, 2 Panther G's, a King Tiger, a Jagdpanther, a Comet, a Cromwell and a 'Century 21' Stuart. All busy charging around our area both days, pulling large crowds, and with (mostly) surviving batteries (fortunately, Denny's generator was on hand for some final charge for loading up at the end of the event).
When you you not see someone fiddling with a tank at some point ?

Lots of thrills for the crowds, and then Denny provided a spectacular spill:

A good time was had by all. Thanks to Denny for organising it, and inviting us.

All the best,

Chris

Yes, but ......

Denny has a lot of fun really using, and showing off, his tanks. He does many 'little' shows outside the 'normal' ones of Tankfest and Tiger Day. The Public appreciate the spectacle (they're sometimes four deep !), and the odd accident just adds to the drama.

It also shows just how tough these things really are. We flipped the KT over, tested a few circuits, put it all back together and it was up and running within 10 minutes.

All-in-all, it's all good advertising for the Armortek brand, which keeps us in toys. So everyone wins.

And, finally, are you going to tell Denny to take it easy ? I'll hold your coat ....
