Flicking around the Armortek Shop, I've just noticed that the main gun recoil pack will work on the new Panther A, but doesn't mention the earlier Panther G.
Historically, I believe the turrets on the A and G were identical, only the hull significantly changing. I can't speak for the way Mark engineered the earlier model, of course (although I continue to be in awe of his skills), but is it possible (and, more to the point, easy) to fit the recoil pack into a G ?
It'd be nice to have a recoil .... it's the only thing my Panther G is missing. Perhaps Kian and Monique could consider a conversion system ?
One for the techies, methinks.
In hope,
Chris

This was the official stance:
http://www.armortek.co.uk/Forum3b/viewt ... 526#p38973
It would depend on the current fit of the barrel within the mantlet, and whether the barrel can move all the way through the mantlet.
If the barrel is too loose a fit, you would need to bore out the mantlet and insert a sleeve of some type to allow the barrel to slide without introducing any barrel bounce when in motion.
I've fitted muzzle flash LEDs to both Denny's Panther and JagdPanther, but not full recoil.
Adrian.

Re: Recoil system for a Panther G ?
Thanks for the quick response, Adrian !
I saw the words "excellent engineering abilities" and my heart sank. That's certainly not me
Never mind - I prefer firing the hull m/g anyway !
I might talk to you about a muzzle flash sometime, though .... I'm sure I can out-grateful Denny
Appreciatively,
Chris
