Hello,

Does anybody know the final gear ratio of the Tiger 1 2003 vintage? ie the ratio between the motor/gearbox output shaft and the main drive wheel.

It is all assembled at the moment so I can't count teeth easily.

Cheers

Sam

There were 45 teeth on the main drive gear and 15 teeth on the spur gear on the motor, so
a ratio of 3:1.

Hello, I should probably get some proper research resources (beyond google image search)... but doesn't anyone have any close up pictures or details of the drivers instrument panel? Is it a large (radioactive) rev counter? Couple of other small dials possible with odometer/trip counter?

Thanks

Sam

The tank museum (Bovington) has produced two DVDs on the tiger. There are closeups in at least one of them, but both are mandatory for any tiger modeler anyway. Heartily recommended!
In addition, I think the Hayne's manual also has pictures. These resources will help you with loads of other details as well.

Cheers,
/Chris

Thanks Chris,

I'll pull my finger out and get some research material. Good excuse to get the DVDs too.
