Yes, on this 'Real or Fake' thread, black and white is better than color. I shouldn't have posted these color pictures.

HOW do I go about deleting a post? For days I've been trying to delete a couple of color pictures on this thread and can not figure out how to do it. There's no 'Delete Post' button to push (and I've been looking!!). Let me know. Thanks! Mike

You can't delete a post once someone has commented, or it would break the thread.

You can edit it by clicking on the left hand icon which looks like a pen.

Thanks Adrian. I've been feeling bad about posting these two color pictures above because this thread is intended to be a black & white 'Real or Fake' site. I've tried the 'pencil' (edit) 5 times to erase them but, now that you've explained it, I guess I can't delete it.

Sorry for posting color pictures on a b&w topic thread... I'm a major bonehead... sorry.

Mike

Mike it's good to see the comparison of colour and black and white, just post the photos again in black and white, if you really want to delete a photo attachment, click the pencil (edit icon) then click attachment, a list of your photo files will show, then click delete file.

^^^ Neat site!

There is a whole group of 'photoshop' modelers who are creating some pretty funny WW2 fantasy pieces.

It's when the photos are passed off as real that history suffers.

Nice to see that there are some places that are debunking the fantasy stuff!

Cheers,

RPR

Go on with color photos, I would say. There are period photos (and even film) in color from the early phase of the war. The best ones (retaining its colors properly) were shot on Kodachrome film. However, it became difficult to obtain in Germany as the war progressed...
A little too much is about right...
