Hi guys, while working on the firefly I just cant get the sound system to work. Is there anyone who I can send the parts in to pre calibrate the system? Any help is greatly appreciated. John

Thanks a ton Adrian, It looks like I figured out the problem and the system is working.

The issue was that I had no or little control of the system. It would turn on, rev up, and prematurely cut off on the fly. After writing this thread I took a step back, reevaluated what was going on and retried the macro instructions. After a few tries It looks like I got the system working.

One thing I do see that is lacking with these sound systems is that there are no real tutorials on how to get the system working. If someone made a tutorial video it would be of great help for people who find themselves in a similar situation.

... anyway off to the smoke system and your excellent throttle control!

If it doesn't meet your needs then perhaps you'd offer some suggestions on how to improve it.

We've looked at videos but they're labour intensive to do well. For now, the priority is to complete the Knowledge Base.

Stephen, Yes I have seen this thread and it is a great asset and was used for my setup and past setups. However what is not found on the post is the actual calibration with pushing the button. This is the part that is the trickiest as the timing, lights, pops, and setting needs to be done in a certain sequence... it is with this type of tutorial that a video format in my opinion is better than a written format and would be of added help as it compliments the written instruction,

I understand though that a video is difficult in that there are so many different radios / systems that customers use that a broad brush approach may be over simplifying things

Sorry John, I'm being a bit slow here. The Post sets out exactly how to set the engine sounds and special sounds for both the Benedini cards, including when to push the Programme button and what beeps and LED indications are expected at each stage. That's for selection and activation of sounds by rotary encoder. If you're using a toggle switch on the Tx, setup is covered in the Armortek instructions. Is that what you mean by "actual calibration"?
