Hi All

I’ve discovered that my recoil does not. In my turret modification I had to connect the servo arm downward instead of up as is illustrated in the instruction not realizing that it made my barrel go forward when firing. What made this even more embarrassing is that I didn't even notice. It was my wife that mention it didn't look right with the barrel going forward when it fired. Is there a way to reverse the wiring in the recoil module or any other connections within the modules to have the servo work the other way? I really can’t change the position of my servo arm and so am looking for an alternative.

You should be able to go into your transmitter settings and reverse the channel applicable to your recoil.

The Armortek Recoil servo is controlled by the processor board in the Recoil Module, not by the transmitter.

Servo reverser or alternatiely a servo which works in the opposite direction to the one fitted (they are not all the same) unless the processor board overcomes this.

So, is there a way of having the Recoil Module connections for the barrel recoil reversed?

It would need a quick rewrite of the code.

From memory, the Savox supplied with the units operates in the opposite direction to the Futaba 9254 servo I used for testing, so you may find a simple servo swap will get you the motion you require.

A possible solution that may be worth exploring.
Switch the servo mount to the other side of the gun barrel and move the servo arm so it is still pointing downwards. Then the servo should whilst operating in its normal direction of rotation achieve the desired effect.

I wanted to share the outcome of fixing my barrel recoil. Adrian was quit right that reversing the signal via the transmitter option is not possible as the control for the servo comes from the recoil module directly and not the transmitter.
Also I was not able to move or reverse the servo itself as for the changes I made within the turret so I then tried to reverse the servo wiring within the servo. To do this you need to reverse the motor and pot wires which is shown on many u-tube videos. However the motor of my Savox servo is directly connected to the circuit board and although could be reversed would be extremely difficult and I didn't want to take the chance of messing up this expensive servo.
The solution was given by Maarten Schutjes who suggested a signal reverser. There are several brands out there. Turnigy has an inline reverser which you basically plug and play and Expert Electronics has a Y-harness which is used mostly for planes to control ailerons but one servo needs to go in the opposite direction with the same transmitter signal. The Y-harness one by Expert Electronics has a pot control which allows to adjust the trim which is kind on neat. Anyway both work very well and solved my problem with the easiest fix.
