I want to begin painting my early Tiger in a dark yellow.
What paint would you consider to be the best for painting the tank in this colour? I was considering using the Tamiya spray paint but I seem to be having a problem finding these spray cans.

Hi Steve
All those sprays were taken off the market about a year ago in the uk for a safety issue !!!???
The last time I asked in model zone they will not be back for at least another year.
I got mine mixed by a car paint supplier from a sample from a Tamiya pot.
It was not that cheap but I have enough to do at least 3 tanks I think.

Hi Adrian
The paint came in a big tin and I am going to use a
gravaty spray gun and compressor in this case but the company will make
500 mls spray cans up as well.
The company is morelli in Enfield and the phone number is 02083515151.
I am sure any auto paint specialist company can do the same.

Hi Stephen
most auto spray shops will be able to put the paint into an aerosol for you. The local one to where I live in Lincolnshire charges about £10 a can.
Find you nearest stockist and give them a ring. If you know the RAL number for the paint it will be easier for them.
A few good reference web sites for the colours are:
www.newrailwaymodellers.co uk for paint conversion tables
www.mdmetric.com RAL colorcharts
www.miniatures.de RAL colour conversion tables - German Vehicles
good hunting

Thanks for the links Colin. They will come in very handy for matching the paint colour.
