Tank meetings

Myself and another forum member attended Manchester Armoured Division's monthly meeting at their new location at a school in Longridge near Preston. I understand that this will be their permanent home for monthly meetings from April. Whilst primarily catering for 1/16 scale - there were some fantastic models there- we were made really welcome and we were encouraged to bring 1/6 scale stuff along. There is a huge amount of space available outside and the head of the school was not concerned about heavy models churning up the grass (obviously within reason). The club has access to a lounge with hot drink making facilities. Members do seem to have 1/6 stuff so that quite a bit of interest could be generated. Meetings are 10 til 5 so you get a good days tanking in. The club will be requesting attendees to make a payment for the use of the facilities to generate funds for the school. A good central location for the north west owners. Check MAD's website for dates etc.
