Early Tiger Muzzle Brake

The production of Tiger 131 has meant that there is an opportunity to upgrade my Early Tiger. Mark and Gill have supplied me a new Muzzle Brake and its construction in three parts has made it relatively simple to have some fun adding detail.
I have added extra detail to represent the end of the barrel as it enters the muzzle I have also added a concave disc to the rear of the rear of the mid plate and then milled the openings on the forward parts to 30 degrees to conform to Rob Veenendaal and David Byrdens drawings. I have also remade the lock ring so that it has eight notches.

I now have to fit it together and use Milliput to smooth off the junctions of the parts.
Once done, a photo or two will follow!

It seems that Mark has surreptitiously slipped in quite a few improvements on this Tiger.

With the number of Tigers out there, of one sort or another, I would have thought there was quite a market for retrofit factory parts :?:

All you need now is a piece of the 6th Scale Icons barrel rifling sheet

It occurs that I should post a few of the pictures that I took of 131's muzzle:

There are more if anyone is interested let me know.
This is the assembled, and smoothed out where needed with Milliput, and primed Muzzle Brake.

I am pleased with how little modification was needed, once planned. How straightforward it was to achieve using an all metal approach, apart from a little filler to round off interior corners. Mark has produced a version of the Brake that is so much better than the original,I hope this will inspire!
