Lift Box

Has anyone had difficulties getting the gears to operate correctly on the lift box.

I believe that I'm using the correct gear wheel even though the HPC PM0.4-60 looks different to the one shown in the instructions. I have 3 gears all the same, two with the word HPC and a telephone number engraved the third gear is un-marked but the same size.
The problem appears to be in the meshing, with the worm in place the meshing is far too tight and everything locks together.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, if so how did you overcome it?

looking forward to any advice received

Hi Colin,

I have exactly the same problem, I thought as you that the ratios
were not quite right but the problem in my case is that all the gears
and worms needed a thorough clean. And I mean thorough!

I ended up filing a few teeth here and there and a real scrub with
wire wool.

It took almost a week but eventually everything meshed?

Good luck.

Hi Stewart

I ended up by sending the lift boxes back to mark to sort out. He has done a first class job and the gearing now runs very smoothly.

Hi Stewart, I had some problems with the gearing being stiff, but in my case it was the chain pulley shaft binding in the front cover and rear bearing, I just drilled it a little larger, and a bit deeper in the front cover, and it was as smooth as silk, I also connected it to a battery drill and run it forwards and backwards just to bed them in, hope this helps
