Without doubt I would prefer a tank WWII, possibly German: I know that ... a Panzer IV which many would like a new release, or at least a German tank developed on the hull of the Panzer IV: There is plenty of choice. And there would be less development work for Mark ...
There are already too many Tiger and Panther out there!

But definitely NOT modern for me ... still loads of WW2 from all sides and some nice smaller models as well.

Perhaps something Russian. SU-100 of KV-1 perhaps. Although some transport vehicles That could be displayed alongside a tank would be nice as well.

I think the next model is pretty much a certainty , but after that, who knows

I'd like to see a Crusader or a Matilda.

Churchill could use running gear similar to the Mark IV.

The M3 Lee/Grant and the Sherman M4A1 use very similar running gear to the current Shermans, but would need slightly different bogies.

Chieftain is a must at some stage.

I think Panzer II would be a great little tank, in size and cost, but I've tried to have a few chats with Mark about future projects and internal space seems to be near the top of the list as a limiting factor, especially somewhere for the smoke unit and the speakers once the drive system is in place.

I'd love to see an Armortek IS-2 to counter all the Tigers out there, but I don't think Russian tanks sell well . Even with the choice of /76 and /85 turrets, the T-34 took a while to sell out

I would concur with Chris that a Whippet would fit in with the Mark IV nicely, using common components, and commercially using up uncommon components. I now have more Rivets and 3mm nuts and bolts than I have immediate need for!
Commercially, I think a Universal Carrier would sell well, but I think that people would have to cope with semi stand-off tracks as the Links would otherwise cause problems in a model that leaves the carpet for the Grass and Mud!

I'm with Arian on his choice of a Panzer II, always liked this wee tank, but it's internal space could be tight!
But the Crusader and Matilda tanks would be good too…..I'll second that for sure!

Anyway I'm happy when Mark produces the Morris Quad for next year!

I had a similar conversation with Mark at Armortek Day. For example, he said he'd like to do a Renault FT17, but it's just too small to get everything inside. So that probably counts out Steve's (good) idea of the Universal Carrier, too.

There were two tanks that he mentioned to me that he'd like to do - Whippet, and Matilda. Make of that what you will.

However, we must never forget that Mark and Gill do this to make a living, so they can only afford to produce models that will sell quickly, so as to recoup costs and reduce storage requirements. Mark has obviously invested heavily in tooling (which I described as 'magical' at the Open Day ), and he needs to keep all that at the 'cutting edge'.

I'm sure we all have our favourite tanks, but I trust Mark to keep us amused with "pretty mechanical toys" (as Lord Kitchener referred to the first tanks).

There's always the FAQ option of commissioning your own, though ..... And the Panzer II already exists in 1/6 scale, as a Dragon plastic model for £499 IIRC. I'm sure that many of the people on this Forum could motorise and detail it so it would fit perfectly against an Armortek model.

The problem with using the Dragon Panzer 2 or even the 21st Century M5 Stuart is that they are all plastic and not very robust and prone to breakages. You have to be pretty careful with them as they wer never meant to be full on RC tanks.

Now, what would be good is if some well known manufacturer could produce a range of lower hulls in metal which could mate to the plastic top hulls.

Cant see it happening though.
