Futaba T8J charger

Post by Chris Hall »

Another question relating to the Panther which I look after but which is not mine ...

It came with a Futaba T8J transmitter unit (2.4 Ghz, S FHSS, 8 Channel), but without a charger. The internal battery pack says "Turnigy 4.0 4000mAh 2S 7.4v Transmitter pack".

Can anyone tell me the correct charger, and the best place to get one (in the UK) ? I've searched t'interweb without success, and I am a numpty in these matters .....

Thanks, in hope,

Chris

Does it say NiCAD, NiMH or LiPo on it anywhere ?

From a quick Google it looks as though it should be a NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) battery, so any charger which will charge NiMH at 7.4V should be fine.

I love the speed of response on this Forum .... :D Thanks, Adrian !

I can't see any mention of the particular type, so I'll try it with my Futaba charger and hope it works !

All the best,

Chris
