Halloween getting illuminated

Hi all
It's Halloween and probably one of the last times 008 KT will be out this year. I've been reading about guys trying to setup a meet in the midlands, It's awkward sometimes to find open space to have a good run round without having to travel miles with the beloved rattling around in the back of the car. Joe with his Comet and I on occasions take our tanks to a local radio control boat club set in the grounds of Rugeley power station sports and social. Other than the usual club night, the club holds the odd show, and tonight is an evening event with R/C boats sailed with all types of illumination.
Perfect to run the tanks around in the evening with driving and convoy light on. Electronic flash from machine guns and cannons should be fun too together with a beer and meal at the sports and social. A lovely warm autumn evening must be perfect night out if you like that sort of thing.
I've often thought that local flying or boat clubs might be an excellent way to co-exist with a tank club now that 2.4ghz is such common place.

Lights, Camera, no action.

Joe and I were ready for a evening sail and then a drive round with the tanks after having a nice meal and drink in the club house. When an elderly gentleman tripped and fell after removing his model boat from the pond.
Finding myself then having to administer first aid to the gentleman and then getting him off to A&E, after which the night was over. Still the tanks performed well, even though just about everyone had left by the time I'd sorted the old chap out.
Well there's always next year. Probably

I'm going to have to join the power station club John. The thought of a couple of pints and jousting with your KT is quite appealing :D

Hi Chris
Glad to see the Cents noisy again, the neighbours will be pleased.
I'm sure you'd be welcome at the club. As long as we don't churn the grass up too much we'll still be welcome. I wouldn't say the rules are too strict but these earlier club members were banned for clicking their heals too much. And a tripping hazard from an early large scale Maus they brought along raised the risk of slips and trips amongst the old folk.

Don't you just love German humour. But least they build great tank haulers.
