Cent Recoil Module

Post by Chris glover »

Evening Chaps
Where has everybody mounted the module box?.It seems to lend itself to be mounted within the turret,as the servo lead is quite short.
My problem is my receiver and amp are mounted at the rear of the Cent ,and the three leads that plug into these are about a third the length they need to be.
Not really having much experience with such things, would there be any issues with increasing the length of the rc and amp leads?
Many thanks
Chris

Chris - very simple to fix. For a matter of pennies, you can buy extension leads in lengths up to a metre and a half.

The sort of length you need will not affect performance. For the record, I've mounted the module on the right hull wall under the turret, using studs let into the hull side.

Thanks Stephen :D
I don't suppose you know what the White connectors that go to the amp module are called?.I would like to have the option of mounting the recoil in the turret so would need to extend the three cables to the amp.
Thanks again
Chris

Hi Chris

I have mounted my recoil module in the turret and I am very please with its location, removing the turret is relatively easy as I can leave the gun flash and servo leads still connected. I made extension leads for the 3 other leads and these can be unclipped in the turret as can the 8 pin plug. I will be happy to show you at the show on Saturday if you are interested.
