Hi All, have ordered the Tiger 131, so jumping in at the deep end, hoping to be able to use all your experience to guide me. Hoping to move to France soon so will have to rely heavily on the forum for guidance and help, more used to 1/35 scale so it will be a steep learning curve.
Can anyone advise me where to get a commander and loader figure from for the 131. I guess i need to start doing a bit of research on it.

Thanks in Advance

Mick

Hi Michael and welcome to the Forum :D

For the figures, it may be better to wait and see how things progress.

For instance, do you want static figures or animatronic ones :?:

Ebay is probably your best bet for cheap complete figures, or if you're certain of the theatre you want then just keep an eye out for separate uniform items and build them up yourself.

You only need enough to clothe them the waist up...

Adrian.

Hi Michael

Same here I have just ordered a Tiger 131 for my first venture into 1:6th scale so there will be plenty to learn but very much looking forward to the build. I'm going to take my time, do my research and won't hesitate to pick the brains of the many experienced builders here as and when needed.

Mick, Dragon only released 1 Africa corps Panzer commander which is long out of production and hard to find for the rest of the crew you would have to use standard Dragon dollies or build your own, you could also ask Lee, http://www.newthorpemodels.co.uk/default.php if he has either the DAK Panzer commander or spare uniforms

I did manage to locate one of the Dragon WWII 1/6 Horst Lerner figures in the U.S. so it's still possible to get one with a bit of searching. Going to be a long time until I'll need it but better to have one put away until then as they're only going to get harder to find.

John,Mick

The two figures on my Pz III are Horst Lerner from Dragon and the Soldier Story DAK 1941 figure. The two Tiger heavy tank battalions in Tunisia in 1943 were part of Panzer Armee Afrika, which consisted of the DAK remnants and Wehrmacht units which had been brought in separately, so the range of uniforms seen was pretty wide.

This is the Soldier Story figure

Welcome, anyway. Plenty of advice freely available, just ask.
