Hi,
Does anybody know what shades of green paint the British army used in the 70s and 80s to paint armoured vehicle?

Irregular camouflage of:

NATO Green BS381c - 285
Black (Night) BS381c - 642

Rough guide here on this colour chart:

Lots of acrylic available but MIG Ammo do a set ready made:

Dick Taylor has done a complete study which is still available

Yes matt,. I'll bet Denny's top draw cavalry types washed their tanks with benz for a parade, when they would be shiney (and lethal to climb on).

The pusser's green - could be you're thinking of Deep Bronze Green, very distinctive, very shiney, very nasty. Used between about 1950-70. Made AFVs look like Dinky toys.

All the best.
