Armortek

Hi all,
I have recently decided to splash out and purchase a new barrel elevation set up, motor brackets etc. from Armortek as I wish to dispense with the old version on my 2003 Tiger, where the motor for the elevation hangs down into the body. Now I have seen some illustrations on the forum of the motor brackets etc. fitted, but I seem unable to mount my set up and get an elevation over the horizontal, does anybody have any dimensions that might help, I am guessing that a little milling of the floor of the turret might help, but I do not wish to go this effort if another solution is available.

Hi William,

If you look at photos on page 2 of my build you will see that the floor has been milled out to about 10mm I would guess, I also altered the mounting of the brackets to give more elevation. Also you see I added a counterweight in order to take less strain on the motor. No need to reply to your email now.

Thank you, that does pretty much tie it up, means I have to wait until next week to get at the milling machine at work, I hoped to achieve so much over the holiday period, always another hurdle
