Good News.... And Not So Good

Great News......... darling wife Sue bought me a Mk IV for Christmas.
The not so good news..... she has only paid the deposit
I'm thrilled of course and, while I scrape together the balance I'm thinking about names like any "expectant parent" would.
Not sure I'd want to model a female version, so any direct homage to the wife is probably a non-starter. If I can find details of a "Susan" we may have to discuss it......
There was a "Nelson" (my German Shepherd), numbered 130, but it was one of several "tank banks" used for raising funds around the country and never saw active service. Could make an interesting subject, and a good excuse for a neat and tidy paint finish!
I'm also looking for connections to Guernsey. Found a reference to a Frank Mithchell of the tank corps who was born here in guernsey, but so far no details of his tank(s).
That's as far as I have got so far. I'll keep looking around the web, and re-reading the Mk IV forum with renewed interest. Will post more when my own model arrives.
Happy new year to all.
Kevin
