2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY

Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

Hi Chris,
EKP Supplies are very good. They do one size up BA fixings eg a 5BA nut with a 4BA thread - gives a good scale look. But beware - bolts are screws (!?)

Here is a recap, from posts in my KT thread, of some more sources for various bolts, nuts, screws, tools, etc:

I have an assortment of tiny nuts and bolts on hand now after seeing all the additions folks have made here on the Forum.

I order from Micrfastners, Scale Hardware, and Micromark
http://www.scalehardware.com/
http://www.microfasteners.com/
http://www.micromark.com/hardware.html
here in the states in the following sizes:

00-90 hex bolts and nuts (smallest)
0-80 hex bolts, nuts, and flat head screws
1-72 hex bolts and nuts and flat head screws
2-56 hex bolts and nuts (largest, such as it is) and flat head screws

The 0-80 and and 1-72 have the option of a regular nut or a small nut the same size as the bolt hex head. I've only found the small nuts for the 00-90 size bolts. These "special" nuts are a bit pricey. The flat head screws are the same as the ones Mike Stannard used on the Tiger 1 mud guards and Don’t forget to get taps and dies for all of the above sizes too! You will use them.

I am securing the small nuts and bolts with a small drop of super glue on the bolt threads when an assembly is completed.

I get BA stuff from:

https://maccmodels.co.uk/
and
http://www.modelmakingsupplies.co.uk/

Both offer great service and quick turnaround. You may have to order bolts from one and nuts from the other, but it works.

I now have a selection of BA hex bolts and nuts and some screws from 12 BA all the way up to fairly massive 2 BA size that complement the domestic brass bolts mentioned above.

Hope this helps,
Brown

Hi Chris

I recommend Bruce Engineering/Polly Models (I think it is on page 51) for small metric bolts down to 1.2mm in size (1.4mm have a head size of 2mm).
They are on the expensive side but are good quality and come from Germany.
Hope this helps

Regards

David

Hi Chris
I used the translate function that creeps in with Bing, I bring the Knupfer up in two windows, translate in one and shop in the all German one!
Perhaps we ought to all combine forces and produce a lexicon of words, in as many different languages as there are belonging to members of this forum, for such clarification and education...
Regards
Steve
