Hi All,
After waiting in all day my Mk IV kit was finally delivered at 6-40 p.m. way to go UPS. It wouldn't be so bad if the tracker actually told you anything other than it left on the van at 5.40 a.m. Too late to even unpack and check the contents as I am up for day shift at 3.30 a.m.
Still, the tank is here, all four boxes of it, wow. The instructions are long and complex, they will take some figuring out and careful studying to avoid errors. When I get chance I will post some photos. I hope all who have ordered them get theirs soon. Happy building.

Excuse my ignorance but is the Mark IV motorised or static?

As with all Armortek kits, the Mark IV can be built simply as a static kit, but there will be the usual motion and effects packs available in due course.

Adrian is right, there is going to be all the bells and whistles, motion packs, recoil packs, sound and smoke effects, all to be squeezed in bringing the weight up to about 100 Kg. i have just started checking the contents, got through box one OK, the rest will have to wait to be done over the next few days, work is getting in the way, if I didn't need to fund my toy habit... Gunner.

Did I say a few days, well 15 months have passed and I have just started priming some of the parts. My build will continue as a very slow one, but any progress is progress. I thought I had better get something done in case Chris gets Lisel's sibling finished and starts looking around for a third Mk IV to acquire For now a couple of simple photos just to show the start.

A journey starts with the first step....
A pilgrimage does not end with reaching the destination!

Cheeky ! Should I be worried, though, about the reputation I'm getting ?

Enjoy the build, and take it easy. You have no deadlines to meet (apart from your own) until 20/11/2017, when something will have to be organised for the Cambrai Centenary. If you have any questions, or need any help, just ask ! (although Steve's the technical expert - I'm just the history nut ).

After a very long day at work I managed to get a few more parts prepared and primed. So tired, so achy oh me oh my... more tomorrow if I can get my fingers joints working again.

A few more parts cleaned up and primed but a bout of the heavy cold that did the rounds at work and the chesty cough that followed left me with little enthusiasm or energy for much of the last month. Other projects and side lines demand their share of the spare time as well. On the plus side an old work mate passed on a hand squeeze riveting set which should be interesting. It will be of limited use due to access issues, but I am looking forward to getting some rivets set when I get other heads for the tool. I am trying to get some limited access fittings to allow some more of the areas that are a bit tight to be riveted. Starting to realise that I am going to have to use more bolts as many areas are just not going to be able to be riveted up unless I shrink down to 1/6th scale, now why can't Dragon come up with a few Rosie the riveters instead of all the soldier dolls. Thanks to all the other build posts, great to see what is to come eventually.
