Hello All

Can anyone recommend a supplier of British Military Green paint? either gloss or matt (have not decided yet) Preferably one that comes with a spray can as I am not skilled in using airbrushes. Bear in mind I am not a professional modeller like most of you!

Also, what size rivet dolly should I use?

Thanks and in anticipation of your answers.

Ian hi. Google "Deep Bronze Green spray" and you'll get a selection of suppliers who provide paint for the full size restoration industry. This is the right colour for a post war 25 pounder. Deep Bronze Green was always gloss. There are tins of model paint available if you choose to brush paint. Regards. Stephen

Ian - I posted these mixes on the Cent section a while back:

2. From the mid 50s to the late 60s, Cents were paintEd Deep Bronze Green No 24. Mixes as follows:

- Humbrol: 6 x 2 + 1 x 33 + 4 x Revell 84
- Tamiya: 8 x XF5 + 5 x XF62 + satin varnish
- Revell: 10 x 65 + 1 x Black
- Xtracolour do DBG in a single can; x814 but the plastic boys don't seem to rate it.

Hi Ian

You could do worse than check out:

www.militaryvehiclepaint.co.uk

They do 400ml aerosol cans, with free P&P to mainland UK.

Kevin

Hi Ian
As a new to this hoppy as well, i spent a lot of time puzzeling over the couler & paint supplyer. I used Hammerite paint Smooth dark green,, in a spray can 400ml for £8. it worked well om my centurion. The only draw back was haveing to wait 24 hrs between coats. time well spent to get a good finnish, in deep bronze green
For OLive drab have a look at Tamiya ennamel paint range they do a 150ml spray cans, you would need about 4 cans for the 25pdr & limber kits
happy building Dave N :)
