Armorpax's Limber

Post by Dave Dibb (Armorpax) »

Hi All,

Made a start on the Limber. Kit has been built straight from the box with only a few minor tweaks,

I have re-profiled the hinges so the doors open fully and added aluminium tube over the door stop bars to thicken them up. Brake drums from the 25 Pounder set have been added and the tyres have been rounded off as I did on the 25 Pounder. The button heads on the mudguards have been changed for smaller hex's.

I will be starting on an update set after Combined Ops next weekend.

Best regards

Dave

Hi All,

Following a few requests I have made the towing eye to go on the 25 pounder wheel nuts. Also started work reprofiling the tow hitch as a base for a much more detailed version. I will be adding casting details and locking mechanism later.

Best regards

Dave

Watching with interest Dave.... If these parts are as good as those for the gun itself they will be superb.

Are you doing an interior Dave? I was thinking of trying to scratch build the interior, but the rest of your parts are looking so good again I am definitely interested in ordering them, interior and all. Your gun detail set was great. My gun build has stalled, but I am making good progress on the limber and this is rekindling my desire to get on with the gun. Will it be a full set or are you selling smaller batches of parts. Any way look forward to more of your posts. I should have done these kits by now as the arrival of the MkIV is imminent, where to put it all. Maybe the gun will stay on the back burner, to be brought out as a rest from Mother's little boy.

Hi Ian,

General idea is for a full kit again unless people want individual parts and yes the interior is planned.

Cheers

Thanks Dave, put me down on your order list. I will now try to post some photos of my limber in another thread.
