Sd.Kfz.7/1 and 20mm Flakvierling 38
Hi everyone
I started my Sd.kfz.7/1 a few weeks ago,so I will catch up with my build photographs.
There are lots so I will have to put them on in order.

Re: Sd.Kfz.7/1 and 20mm Flakvierling 38
Am I correct in thinking the flakvierling will be build on the Sdkfz 7 chassis?
I'm thinking among similar lines for my 7. Not figured out where to put the batteries though...

Hi Maarten and Paul
Yes the Flakvierling will go on my deck,I asked Mark at the show about the electrical
equipment and he said its a very tight fit,so it will be an interesting challenge.
Paul I was looking at your refurb build again today of the Sd.Kfz.7,but I didn't see any
pictures of the electronic layout of that one.
Loads of nice pictures on the earlier builds to go by but no clues for the layout.
Was it a shoe horn job in that refurbed model?
Cheers

Hi Phil
Nice to see you got this going I am watching with interest..
This was something I thought about doing but I am going with a standard build
for now.
I think the way to get the electrics in may need the cases removing
from the boards and then some very careful insulation to be done.
Keep up the good work...

Hi Derek
I have the flat part of the deck loosely fitted, bit slow putting all my pictures on,
but I will soon catch up.
All the deck and front seating will then come back off, when my option packs come.
The batteries will have to go up front I think and like you say the control boxes
have more options.
Might even be able to raise my deck a little bit more if it makes it easier.
Cheers

Hi Phil.
No I don't think I took any of the electrics going in think we were a little bit fed up by that point, that model was a long haul there was so much damage that needed sorting out I was just happy to get to the end and start another but Mark is correct of course its all very tight and pushed for space.
Speak soon Paul.

Re: Sd.Kfz.7/1 and 20mm Flakvierling 38
Hi Paul
Yes it looked a job and a half, especialy last visit when I read everything and the
problems you had releasing stuff.
I had a good study this evening and the deck supports are more than 45mm, so what cant
be sunk inside the chassis, will fit to the underside of the deck no problem.
Havent fitted the side engine panels yet,but resting them in position,I can get at
least a pair of 12v 10ah in there.
So disguising stuff and doing a nice neat wiring job will be the order of the day.
Cheers
