Tomorrow (Friday 16th May) at 4pm (1600hrs) UK time,'Visions of War TV' are broadcasting the documentary
'Tiger Day' filmed last month at The Tank Museum. The Visions of War team were granted behind the scenes access to the Tiger Day event and the result is ‘Tiger Day’ a lively documentary portrait of a day in the life of Tiger 131. Armortek also feature in this documentary which can be viewed either on SKY Channel 192,or Freesat Channel 402, or via http://www.information.tv
select the live stream on Showcase 2.
For anyone who watched this show, I have just been informed by Visions of War, that the wrong show was broadcast and the correct show will be going out at 4pm (UK) on Sunday 25th May.

Hi Gill,
I see that the broadcasting documentary 'Tiger Day' by The Visions of War team and Armortek features later on this afternoon at 4pm.
For those of us that don't have SKY or Freesat or Information.tv and not be able to watch, view above documentaries, will Armortek be recording saving copies so that we can view them later on somehow!
Regards
Ian

Hello Ian
We are on the road at the moment, however there is a link in the first post to Information TV where you can watch the programme on line.
Hope this helps

Man of the match, Gill and Mark apart, is Denny, whom the presenter introduced by saying that Denny had spent the last half an hour trying to run him over with his King Tiger. Denny, I'm with you on that one. Better luck next time.
Great publicity for Armortek and the Tank Museum but oh, what a lamentable, amateur, juvenile programme production team. Anorak meets Walter Mitty in Disneyland.
Regards
Stephen

Hi Gill,
Thanks for your message, I did manage to see half of the showcase2 on the Tiger 131 and of course a good coverage of Armortek, very good indeed.
Much appreciated
Cheers
Ian

Hi Stephen.
I am with you on that one and think your description of what could have been a good program is spot on.
Cheers Paul.

Does anyone know of how to download, or 'on demand' the programme. I am interested to see it for the images and curious about the commentary.
Journalists do seem to do their level best to adopt the role of pimp, and to do the best to prostitute their subjects... ?

There's a fine line between enthusiasm and CBeebies and, unfortunately, I think this program crosses that line from time to time.
And I'm not sure that the Tank Museum staff will be impressed to have been relocated to Hertfordshire (Bovingdon)
On the whole though, I was pleasantly surprised, and it was good to see our machines, our interest in tanks, and the Armortek brand given airtime on a program which is broadcast on a National TV channel.
It was interesting to see that even Denny got tongue tied (12 volt motors indeed ).

For those like me who missed it the Visions Of War website suggests they will show Tiger Day on 30th May. Mind you, not sure how reliable their schedule info is.

I was trying to think of an analogy to sum up the programme ....... Kilopoise - a thick damping grease. Every now and then, some slow movement.
