Hi guys,.
I am looking for some stencils to give my KT it's Divisional markings. I need stencils for numbers on the turret and Leibandstarte AH insignia. Does anyone know best place to purchase these. ALSO do you apply these on top of zimmerit (hard to paint on uneven surface) or did they scrape off the zimmerit to get flat surface before giving their tanks their markings?Hope someone can help.
Cheers
Dunc

I made my own stensils for my Late Tiger 1 which has zimmerit. used adhesive label paper. Masked off everything and sprayed light coats.

Hi Dunc,

1 Komp s.SS Pz.Abt 101 had the zimmerit removed before they painted their unit markings on both their Tiger1 and Tiger2.
Those markings was located upper right at the front and upper left at the rear.
All other (Balkenkreutz and numbers) was painter directly on to the zimmerit.
The numbers was most likely light green outlined in white.
(some looks to have been in solid yellow... :? )
