Perhaps a daft question, but does any body know of a metric one size smaller bolt head supplier for metric bolts? I know you can get BA ones, from EKP Supplies for sure, but it would be useful for a job in hand to get metric.
Thanks in advance for any leads.

Hi Steve
You can try my supplier , I used them when replacing almost all of the bolts and nuts on my 2010 mid Tiger .
http://www.modellbauschrauben.de
Top right at the home page you will find "sprache" and you will find English if you prefer.
The standard head is what I Call "steam engine" head, Niedriger kopf or low/flat head is what I used on my Tiger
Hope you find what you need
Ragnar

Thank you Phil and Ragnar
I think that Ragnar's lead is going to be the most useful in this case as the Niedriger kopf Screws do appear to be effectively a one size smaller a metric equivalent to EKP's BA ones and they may well work. I need to do some more thinking and checking!
Cheers!

Hello chaps
Don't forget not to use anything else than what Gill has painfully packed up for us for structureal part of our tanks. EKP BA sizes are for decoration only. The bolts should be 8.8 standard.

Valid point Lee
This is for primarily 'decoration' or for securing non-structural parts. Because of wear and tear I try and have things beefed up if I can.

Try this:
http://knupfer.info/
They have steel, brass and so on metric bolts, nuts, washers also with reduced head.
They Have from M1 to over M3 including M1,2, M1,4....
As an example, an M3 bolt has an head key of 4mm istead classic 5.5mm.

Thank you Andrea on this lead, I have just received a delivery from them. Just right for the job in hand! The good thing is that they compliment BA bolts and add to the options for 'scale sized' bolt heads. Check them out.....

Steve, I'm glad you're happy with them!
At my workshop I have most of the measure they offers, from M1 to M3, some in steel, some in brass. Not too cheap, but necessary for most of the scale works. They sell also little working wrenches (2.5 or 3mm key) that fits also to 1/6th scale action figures...
