The next box I came to was against the wall. When I pulled it out, I found the source of the smell:

Fortunately, with Mark moving towards mainly aluminium construction, none of the parts seem to have been affected.

The smell of rancid PVA chips on the other hand :x :x

The box containing the track links was at the bottom of the main box, and has disintegrated, but again, the links themselves are OK.

Hopefully, a couple of hours in the sun will dry off the parts and again, I can re-box them in a plastic box.

Adrian.
