Storage Woes Number 1

Post by Adrian Harris »

With the weather finally improving, I decided to delve into the lock up and start the spring clean. It's been a bit smelly in there over winter, so I thought I'd get as much as I could out and give it a good brush out.

The first boxes have been taken over by mice  :

All the PVA chips have been chewed to dust:

But the worst part is that as it breathes in, a mouse seems have a wee, and, as it breathes out, it has a poo. So the boxes smell worse than they look  :

Most of the snap-seal bags appear to be intact, but I'm going to have to wash everything before I re-box it in some plastic boxes.

They even made their own front and back doors:

So, if you're storing your tanks in a shed or garage, don't leave them in their boxes on the floor.

Adrian.

Following my near disaster, please check your Tank's wiring for mice damage. I had all the insulation eaten off several sections of wiring, which if I had switched the Tank on I would have had a conflagration. Luckily some thing made me look inside the Tank before I did, disaster avoided!
