Hi All,
Got a couple of casts today of the metal masters for the base ring parts. My metal casters will now be getting these into a full production mould as soon as they can.
Best regards
Dave

Re: Armorpax's 25 Pounder
Hi Dave!
Finally had some time to spent on my 25pdr. I am working on the platform and was rearranging the pointed sections of the lower ring to have them line up with the spokes. Then I noticed that the spokes were inverted (vertical part of the angle line is on the other side), what would mean that the hooks now would have to be mounted on the left side instead of on the right side of the spoke (looking at the nearest spoke that is) . With the casting having the mounting pip (and rivets on the other side) the hooks then have their opening facing inward. What still can work but is less secure........
Remedy might be to re-invert (?) the spokes what would mean drilling an extra hole for the double rivets on the rim, what is done quite easy.
Best regards,
Marcus

Re: Armorpax's 25 Pounder
Hi Bob,
Full details are in the thread in the craftsman section of this forum inc. postage prices and options. I have only advertised here as it is specific to the Armortek product.
Just a heads up to all that the first batch of Ground ring hooks and end plates should be with me later this week. Pricing etc will be announced towards the end of the week.
Best regards
Dave

Hi Dave,
Fantastic build and I have read with great interest. I was wondering whether you have now completed the gun and what colour you have or are going to paint it.
Regards
Dave

Re: Armorpax's 25 Pounder
Hi Dave,
Took my 25 pdr. apart for the last time and started priming (lots of rust had to be removed )! However before doing that I took a last look and was not happy on how far the barrel protrudes over the slide nose cap compared with the photos I have. I remembered that you modified the slide very early in your build. On your progress blog (on Nov. 24 2013) you mention using a 'full size hacksaw to modify the slide so it sits further forward over the recoil slide nose'. What exactly was modified on the slide?
Best regards,
Marcus
