Hi guys, new to the forum but not to Armortek. I've been following the big 'A' for some time with increasing dollops of jealousy every time they released a new kit...money and logistics prevent me from buying a proper tank...
So, I'm here now and can't wait to get on with my build proper, but must curb the urge to plough on until the books have arrived and I've completed a full parts check.
No piccies yet as they'll only be the same lovely box shots we alrady have.
Now...must finish refurbing my turntable and clear my work bench...

Welcome Carl I'm sure we all look forward to your pictures. I've not started my kit yet and have got caught up in the colour debate and can't make my mind up. Look forward to seeing your progress.

Welcome Carl
You were asking (Dave Dibbs thread) about reference material. There is a "walkaround" thread here in this forum started by Leon, and a thread regarding refernce books started by Ian. Either should get you started.
If you come across any more info, please stick a note in the forum for the rest of us?
Good luck with the build
Regards
Kevin

Hi Carl,
Welcome to this new build on the Armortek 25pdr Kompact kit.
As Kevin says there are threads on this forum covering 'walk around' and on good ref books, and on various comments on colour thread schemes to that would enhance the artillery guns throughout the build up and nearing completions.
Like Malcolm I have not started my own build yet, just collecting information on good images and books, on colour, etc….and for ever searching the net on the 25pdr images, to help me decide on which one I will go for!
Western European War or Desert War fair themes!!
Interesting to see Dave of Armorpak has started his own build on Armortek Kompact 25 pounder kit. Just wondering if he will be offering any upgraded parts on this kit, while he shows us how he goes about assembling this kit.
As for the Limber and Quad tractor, well that's another story!
Enjoy your own build on this wonderful kit.
Cheers Ian

Hi Ian,
So far I have only used odds and sods to detail it. I am not sure there is going to be that much that will warrant full replacement parts.
Best regards
Dave
