Hi William,
thank you for the compliments for the drawings. I can see that the chamfers of the parts you have built are very small. Is there a possibility to come to the 5 mm and 15° seen on the drawing, because that is very important for finding the teeth to the track links! But all in all your Bergepanther is a very very amazing tank with so much details - i love it :D :D
PS: don't forget the distance plate of 1,5 mm between the ring and the body :!: :!:
Regards Martin

Hi William,

nice details, indeed!

Just a question: did you already get first knowledge with the steel track links when driving?
kind regards
Gerhard

Hello Gerard

Steeltrack is on Hold i have mounted the distance ring i have chamferd the teeth off the sprocketrings. I have put a small distance ring between de tracklinks . The eisgreifer i brought back too 3 mm . But the big problem is the Horns on the tracklinks are too soft thy bend with only a little resistance. Have too figur out if thy can be harded.

So back to the original tracklinks .

Hi William,

sad to read, but also my decision to go back to the originals. I had two severe stops when track links were jammed with bended guide teeth. Worse however was that the track links didn't follow the roadwheels when curving on rough grounds. Olaf grinded his chevrons down to 1 mm but they did not yet follow the road wheels when steering aside. Therefore I mean that the steel track links may be a nice decoration for a static display but are unusable when driving on rough grounds.
kind regards
Gerhard
