Animatronics in the Tiger

Post by Dennis Jones »

Not finished yet but it's a start. 6 port Pololu board, 5 used on the commander 1 used on the loader. It's surprising how long it takes to get it looking reasonably lifelike. Takes a lot of patience. Had to cut down the arms for the commander to get it all to fit. Probably not the correct clothes but I needed something loose so as not to restrict the movement of the arms,

Dennis.

Looking good Dennis, it's good to see you've utilised the servo speed and delay functions in the Pololu software. It makes all the difference, especially when it comes to smoothness of movement.

Hi Sy,

Yes thanks for that, still some work to do. I have noticed that sometimes when you program slow movement in to an operation it moves fast. If I step through or load the frame manually it is ok. I have had to put a delay in between some frames to get it to work. Not sure why.

Dennis.
