Armortek

Hey Fellas,
Over here in the United States I have been seeing reports of flooding in the U.K. but I am not familiar enough with your country to know exactly where the places mentioned are.

I was wondering if the flooding is affecting any Armortek owners or Armortek itself and if it is affecting the Bovington Tank Museum.

Hi Alan

Thanks for your concern. Fortunately we are not in the flood area and nor is Bovington. Having said that, it sure has rained a lot here. Have a look at the mud photos at the war and peace show. We know that some Armortek customer do live in the flood areas, and we hope that they are all OK.

Glad to hear the Armortek factory is safe from the deluge - I hope you guys were clever enough to buy a house on a hill

We're about 100 feet from the River Loddon and although where we walk the dog was totally flooded, it didn't make it as far as us. The Environment Agency map did show the flood level reaching the kerb on the other side of our road though!

As far as the Tank Museum goes, if you pu their postcode of BH20 6JG into the EA website "at risk of flooding" search at:

http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/

then the museum seems to come perilously close to the blue band showing the flood risk area. Hope they survivied as I don't think there'd be much chance of moving the exhibits

It has put some rain down, but for a change not too much up here in the north, but on a more positive note, I have heard that the streets of Sheffield echo to the sound of "super, smashing, great" as Bullseye's speedboat winners finally get the chance to use them!!!!

Its been very unuseual weather here but its the Amortek Tanks love it in the mud as at the War and Peace show.They were in there eliments and so was the owners.

Well good. I'm glad to hear everyone is okay.

It's hard to tell over here when they show pictures of flooded towns with names I've never heard of before.

I feel better knowing everyone is fine.

I was in the Oxford area yesterday and its very bad in places. Driving up the M4 motorway yesterday afternoon the rain was falling so heavily that traffic was slowed to walking pace with still more to come!!

If it goes on like this I reckon Armortek should consider a DUKW for its next model
