With the request I have had for T34 parts I have decided to make the tow ropes to test the market to see if it is worth while making other parts. I have no reference books for the T34 so I had to do the research on the internet and there is not much out there that I could find. However I did find a company that's main products are small scale tow ropes. The company is Eureka XXL and they make tow ropes for about every tank you can think of. I assume they know what they are doing and have researched their tow ropes very well.
The problem I had was getting the scale right as I have no scale drawings of the T34 that I could work with. Using a actual picture of the real towing eye and working out the size of the canister in the same picture I think I have it pretty close. I have included the measurements of the 6 scale tow eye in the pictures of the master I have made for casting. If anyone can confirm these sizes it will be a great help. I will be putting this master in the mold I am currently working on for the KW cold start parts, so time is critical. If this master is put in this mold parts will be available in about two weeks.
Here are pictures of the different tow eyes used on the T34 during WW2. The tow cables shown are from Eureka XXL, I would recommend checking them out if you have models from 1.72 to 1.25 scale.

The picture below shows the tow eye with 3/16 wire cable, this is to thin but all I have in the shop. It needs 1/4" cable which I could not find a local hardware stores. I will have to order it from my cable supplier with a minimum order of 250 feet so I hope they sell.
