Smoker Fan Control Unit - Universal Interface

I've received several requests regarding my smoker fan control units and whether they can be used with systems other than ones based on the Benedini TBS5.

In response, I have made up a small unit specifically for the old "black box" style Armortek sound systems, which were supplied with the original Sherman M4A3 and Tiger kits.

This unit has three inputs, which plug into the RC receiver in the two track channels and the sound function control channel. These three inputs are passed through to three Futaba style sockets, so that the original cabling can be reused.

The fourth output, the brown wire in the picture, goes to my fan control unit and controls the power to, and speed of, the fan.

I've uploaded a video of it in action with the original Sherman sound system here:

I'll redo this video, as it's pretty dark, but I wanted to get something online tonight.

This particular unit has been set to the trigger point of my Sherman sound system, but it should be fairly straight forward to tune it to other systems which use the same sort of level control to operate the sound.

The cost of this universal interface is £39, or £33 if purchased with a fan control module.

Adrian.

I've uploaded a second video, filmed outside so hopefully gives a clearer picture

Still no the best video in the world
