Hi Mark,
Please advise:
(1) What are included in this Pack? Read in the forum before (but not available now)
about a modified final gears set. Is a upgraded Speed Controller Module included? Anything else?
(2) The double torsion bar suspension, is it still only for the Panther family, not for King Tiger?
Thanks in advance!
Lerh Chang

Re: King Tiger High Efficiency Motion Pack
Hi Lerh
The standard efficiency option includes a worm and wheel drive gearbox at 60-65% efficiency. The high efficiency option includes a patented offset spiral pinion drive (called Spiradrive) offering 95% efficiency. This is where the big difference lies.
This represents a 30% difference, which means that you get 30% more battery life because your motors use 30% less power to do the same thing. The speed controller is the same on both systems, but it does not have to work so hard when used with the high efficiency system. For the King Tiger, the gear ratio is higher than for other tanks, giving higher torque (turning and climbing ability) and less top speed than the other models.
The Panther family were the only original full size tanks that the Germans built using the double torsion bar system. (As far as we are aware). The others, like the Tiger, King Tiger and Panzer 111 all used a single torsion bar system. That is why this system is only available on our Panther family models.
Hope this explains things

Re: King Tiger High Efficiency Motion Pack & Recoil Pack?
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the explanations.
Recently I have just found 2 confused infos in the "Shop" area:
(1) The High Efficiency Motion Pack is not for the King Tiger (2013):
http://www.armortek.co.uk/Gallery/index ... ia-deposit
(2) While the Recoil Pack is suitable for the King Tiger:
http://www.armortek.co.uk/Gallery/index ... ia-deposit
A further advice will be appreciated.
Best Regards,
Lerh Chang

Hi Lerh Chang
The new King Tiger (2013) is designed to take the Recoil.
The original King Tiger (2008/9) was designed to take the Blank Firer, not the Recoil. However, please see post above re supplying recoils for older models (which includes the original King Tiger.)
Hopefully this should explain.
Let me know if you need any further information.

Re: King Tiger Recoil Pack
Hi Gill,
Thanks for the advice. I will e-mail you as the request.
How does the Recoil Pack work on gun barrel of KT(2013)? Does it mean the gun barrel is designed to be re-coil-able now?
If you can show me a film or photo of KT(2013) on this area. that would be very appreciated.
Best regards,
Lerh Chang
