Hi Bob:
Heat is the key to loosen a loctite screw/bolt. If the screw/bolt is small to medium I have found out that if you heat a old screwdriver tip till red then just hold it on the head of the loctited screw it will transfer that heat to the threads and release the screw. The key to doing this is not using the same screwdriver you used to heat the bolt up with, if you do you will only strip the hot heat of the screw or the screwdriver head - not the threads. Use a different screwdriver to remove the screw after heating - give the screw a little time to cool down - it's the heat that releases the loctite. Hope this helps.
