i post here my new project, the J.P. the model is by in Nov. last Year, and i work on the interior.
The new and the old Jagd:

Most important for me is the instalation of the pipe-return system, an powewrfull Sound system, a few specials in combination with the new Beier Sund Unit USM RC2. A very nice Soundunit, its very flexible and have very much functions. The price speaks for it self.

An Armortek wheel and an wolgorgrad jagd wheel, the tires to small.:

Dietrich weber and i have for the panther and the Jagdpanther an return pipe system bulid!.
In combination with an Power servo, the beier RC2 and an small special self made electronic work this unit. The orig. Armortek Parts had to be changed:
the remote orig. parts.:

This is my self distribution Box: one Sound 12Volts circle, one 24Volts engine circle from driving accu, one 12Volts small engine circle from driving accu. Its not so fine, but its functionality:

I have just seen your last vidio film of your jag panther and it is looking very nice and i must say i realy liked the exhaust light show it is very very good ,such a good idea and it looks great ,please keep more videos coming .thanks for posting .

Olaf - thanks for sharing your great build. The information on the Beier system is interesting, I've had a look at their website and the instructions. The exhausts are quite amazing - but I thought the Auspuff Flammenvernichteren were supposed to vernichten the Flammen! Back to the drawing board.

a lot of Time goes into the land and now comes the Paint Job on my Jagd!
The inerieur is finished, and the mashine works...

i;ve have a Question to the Panther and Jagdpanther Chain, can you help me?
its very difficult in english for but i hope you understand me. The Chain of the next Pictures are reared in different directions. It is not clear waht is right? Waht is the best direction for us Model? I have an idea, but its right?... see the pictures and you understand it:


the first Picture is the Chain too down, the second Picture is the Chain to up!!!!
in the Armortek manual is the Chain to down. look here:

The problem: wenn the Chain is mounted "up" you can have this Problem on the small brigde. on the Chain Eye is the broken bridge, see here:


when the chain is mounted "down" is the Chain Eye in the other direction and there are a bigger bridge, Ok?

the sprocket press now presses on the thick bridge Type.
this is chain "down"!!!!

Hi Olaf,

Impressing JP you have there in the making, very well done!

Regarding the track chevrons...yes this is confusing.

The links always seems to be reversed on Early JP:s and not that often on Later ones.

There is a rumour they had the tracks that way as bailing out from an Ambush the manual said they was to go in full reverse always expose the thick front to the enemy and therefore in need for good grip for the tracks.
Well this has never been verified in any document and I say is just a myth.

No the real case was that Miag that made the early JP:s had no experience making Panthers as MNH and DB had who from Nov 1944 also begun making JP:s
Miag simply made a mistake, no big deal as the links work as good reversed as when assembled correct.

To make matters more complicated the Armortek links are made with the chevron up side down...



No big deal and I suggest you do as I and make your JP with the chevrons the correct way and when they are worn out (as they will) reverse the tracks.

Beautiful work on your JP, esp the painting. The rolled effect on the armor is impressive. The salt chipping effect is amazing, looks very real. Perhaps you have discovered the masters (Simon) paint chip technique? Or created a new standard! Either way, this is going to be a great looking model. Thanks again for sharing.
