Machining a Panzer III Cast suspension arm

Hi Guys,

Has anyone machined any of Brian Leach's cast Panzer III Suspension arms yet?

I've just had a quick look at one and if you use the standard torsion bar shaft and wheel axle, there is a lot of scale material to remove. I was wondering about making new wheel axles, to reduce the amount of material removed.
